Two shot dead in Thohoyandou CBD: Do you have info?
Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased were shot dead at close range, by unknown suspects who had been seen driving a white bakkie with unknown registration number.
POLOKWANE – The police in Thohoyandou in Vhembe District have launched a manhunt for those responsible for the murder of a man and a woman who were found dead in a vehicle in the city’s CBD in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Limpopo police spokesperson, Col Malesela Ledwaba said police were informed of the incident.
The man (32) and woman (27) had been shot dead, and their bodies were found inside a white VW Polo with Gauteng registration plate numbers.
“On our arrival, police found the vehicle parked outside the restaurant with a male victim’s body in the driver’s seat and that of a female in the front passenger seat. The vehicle had been riddled with multiple bullet holes,” said Col Ledwaba.
He said preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased were shot dead at close range, by unknown suspects who had been seen driving a white bakkie with unknown registration number.
The motive for the killing is unknown.
Acting provincial police commissioner, Maj Genl Jan Scheepers has called on the community to come forward with information that can assist the police in arresting those responsible.
