POLOKWANE – Following a successful career expo held by Khaiso Foundation on April 28, the foundation in partnership with teachers from Seshego have introduced an Adopt a Learner initiative.
The initiative is aimed at assisting learners academically, socially and help them apply at higher institutions to further their studies.

This initiative will assist learners in choosing the correct subjects for their career choices. As a start the initiative will focus on Gr 12 learners and those learners from less privileged homes.
Madimetja Chepape, secretary of Khaiso Foundation, said the career exhibition was just the beginning. “Now that dreams have been realised, it is time to put the needed work in to bring them to life,” he said.
A learner’s learning environment plays a vital role in the success of his or her education, and during the course of this initiative, there will be focus on how to improve the learners’ environment.
Chepape added that should a learner perform poorly, the onus is on the academic guardian to assist learners, and to help them improve on their performance.
