Join RIGN’s charity fun run for a good cause
Re Itukisheditse Go Neela's 5km fun run at the Polokwane Game Reserve aims to raise funds for the Bana Ba Thari Special School to go towards their hostel building project.
POLOKWANE – Re Itukisheditse Go Neela (RIGN), which means ‘We are ready to give’, is a non-profit youth charity organization that aims to uplift communities and encourage the beauty of giving back to the less fortunate.
RIGN was founded in the early months of 2022 by Mahlogonolo Mothapo, Matalame Mamabolo, Reneilwe Maboea, Edith Maseko and Kamogelo Rampedi.
These five youngsters have a shared passion and need for giving back to the community and as a large step into adulthood, the founders established the organisation with the hope of changing lives.
Maseko said they are preparing for the RIGN fun run that will be hosted at the Polokwane Game Reserve on July 15 with information set to be released on their Instagram and website.
She told the Polokwane Observer that the fun run is aimed at raising funds for the Bana Ba Thari Special School to go towards their hostel building project.
“The run will consist of a 5km running/walking route and food and drinks will be sold on site as well as branded t-shirts. Our target is to have 200 participants or more,” she said.
Ticket sales can be purchased on their website or via their social media platforms and WhatsApp (064 653 5357 or 068 854 0004).
“The fun run will start at 06:50 and is expected to end at 09:10. Paramedic support will be available for any emergencies and participants are encouraged to provide a digital or physical copy of their ticket at the venue.”
