NMG offers glimpse into local customers’ purchasing habits

The session gave local business owners some valuable insight into the relevance of advertising in local community newspapers.

POLOKWANE- Treating clients to an insightful session on customer spending trends and behaviour in our distribution areas, Northern Media Group invited Spark Media to address guests at Fusion Boutique Hotel last Wednesday.

NMG business manager, Mario Janse van Rensburg, elaborated on recent expansions in the group, which includes the management of the newspapers titles in the Tzaneen, Letaba, Hoedspruit, Phalaborwa, Mopani and Giyani areas, with a combined distribution of 23 000 copies.

Spark Media senior research strategist, Lynne Krog presented the customer research session that focused on local readers’ shopping, entertainment, fashion and beauty, finance and technology decisions, readership in general and what readers’ pathway is in terms of purchasing decisions made in Polokwane and surrounds.

She added that the survey independently sampled 97 local communities, covering all the major centres in South Africa from Polokwane to Plettenberg Bay.
