On two occasions, the same thief is seen using several objects in an attempt to open the main clinic door to gain access.
POLOKWANE – A man was caught on CCTV after having broken into the Polokwane Vet Clinic in Compensatie street.
Tuesday afternoon, the clinic shared the CCTV footage on its social media page, asking locals to help identify the suspect, after the latest incident which occurred on Sunday at 04:45.
The man, seemingly unwavered by the camera pointed at him, is seen in the 45-seconds video using several objects in an attempt to open the main clinic door, and looking for a window through which to gain access.

The clinic’s Vhutshilo Mugwedi confirmed to Review that this time, the man did not steal anything, but this was not the case on February 23 at around 23:00 when he entered the clinic through a back window and sweeped the restroom clean of cleaning items and toiletries.
“He proceeded to the kitchen and took a kettle, some cash at the front desk, sockets, the clinic’s cellphone, and a staff member’s jersey. Nothing noticeable was taken from the consultation room, as there is just a lot of medication and papers – which he made a mess of by searching for more items to steal,” Mugwedi said.
On February 26, the clinic posted footage of this incident on their social media page.
While the second matter was not reported to the police, spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba advised them to visit the local police station to do so, for an investigation to be conducted.
