Former EFF chairman Jossey Buthane rejoins ANC
Buthane will form part of those mobilising voters ahead of this year's general election on May 29.
POLOKWANE – Former EFF Limpopo chairperson Jossey Buthane has been deployed to the ANC’s Ward 10 in Polokwane and the Peter Mokaba region to support party election teams.
He made this announcement to the media during an ANC gathering held at the Jack Botes Hall on Sunday after party provincial secretary, Reuben Madadzhe announced that the trade union founder and other EFF members joined the ANC.
Buthane will form part of those mobilising voters ahead of this year’s general election on May 29.
He formed the Workers Emancipation Trade Union (WETU) last year.
Reports from the EFF allude to the fact that he lost his position after the party’s poor performance in the 2021 local government election, while he is of the view that he has not been given an explanation for his dismissal.
Before the EFF was formed, Buthane was a close friend to EFF national leader Julius Malema.
