Leave your trash where it is says Polokwane Municipality
Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala says the municipality is working to resolve a backlog affecting waste collection in the city.
POLOKWANE -The Polokwane Municipality has urged residents to leave their trash where it is as they address a backlog in waste collection.
Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala says the backlog has affected the waste collection of businesses and households and has therefore impacted several collection routes across the municipal area.
“In light of this situation, we are requesting all customers who have already placed their waste on designated collection points to leave it as is,” his statement reads.
Selala says the municipality is working to resolve the backlog and that waste collection teams will be dispatched promptly to collect accumulated waste across the city.
