Seshego police launch manhunt for teen’s (18) murder suspect

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the victim was stabbed by a male suspect who fled the scene.

POLOKWANE – The police have launched a manhunt for a suspect allegedly involved in the fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old man in Seshego, extension 126, on Sunday, May 12.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba stated that police responded to a call alleging a murder at approximately 01:00.

“Upon arrival, they found the male victim near his home, lying in a pool of blood, having sustained a stab wound in his leg.”

Mashaba said that preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was stabbed with a sharp object by a male suspect who then fled the scene.

Emergency medical personnel certified the victim dead on the scene.

“Police have opened a case of murder. The motive for the murder is still subject to investigation. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect and can assist in the ongoing investigation can call the investigating officer Warrant Officer Manoko Pete on 066 183 0869, the Crime Stop number 08600 10111, visit the nearest Police Station or use the MySAPSApp.”
