24-hour water shutdown to affect the city of Polokwane

Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala said the shutdown forms part of essential work in the ongoing Ebenezer/Olifantspoort upgrade project.

POLOKWANE – All residents and businesses in the city will be affected by a 24-hour water shutdown on Wednesday (June 12).

According to the Polokwane Municipality, the shutdown will take place at the Olifantspoort Plant’s pump station three where Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) will facilitate the replacement of a gate valve controlling water to the Krugersburg and Seshego reservoirs.

Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala said the shutdown forms part of essential work in the ongoing Ebenezer/Olifantspoort upgrade project.

“Residents and businesses in affected areas may experience a temporary disruption in their water supply. The interruption is necessary to ensure the long-term reliability and efficiency of LNW’s water infrastructure,” Selala said.
