Pieties prefects support Ngwana Baby House
Piet Hugo learners, led by their prefects, collected baby essentials and delivered them to the baby house.
POLOKWANE – Laerskool Piet Hugo handed over baby necessities including nappies and toys to Ngwana Baby House at Piet Hugo last week.
The school aims to teach learners how to be responsible and give back to the community.
Prefects had to arrange the project on their own.
“This term we focused on getting baby goodies for Ngwana Baby House and the learners are the ones who compiled a letter and contacted them to let them know about what they are planning,” said teacher Carla Fourie.

Ngwana Baby House accommodates babies who have been abandoned and seek adoption so that they can grow up being part of a family.
The house mother, Sandra Jansen van Rensburg expressed their happiness and thanked the learners for thinking about them and making an effort to help those in need.
“I am glad that you thought about us and decided to donate, and I appreciate the effort that you have put. I also hope that one day you will be able to pay us a visit,” she added.
