Fiona brings world class beauty services to Seshego

The founder of Fifim Garden of Beauty Spa, Fiona Moloto said she took a risk opening the business because she always wanted to be in the beauty industry.

POLOKWANE – Fiona Tsakani Moloto (40) is bringing world class beauty services to Seshego.

She is the founder of Fifim Garden of Beauty Spa which she founded in 2020 just after the Covid-19 pandemic started.

She shared that she took the risk because from a young age, she always wanted to be in the beauty industry.

“I started watching Youtube videos to learn how to do nails then I bought a small kit and asked my neighbours if I could practice on their nails. From there I partnered with another lady who I asked to share rent and work with her,” she explained.

Fiona started out charging R80 for a set and this was because she wasn’t confident in her work.

The following year, she went to beauty school to improve on her skills and graduated two years later ready to build up her business and brand.

“I always wanted to start something of my own and the spa is a place of peace and mental refreshment. The spa offers a wide range of services for clients different needs,” she said.

Like any other business, she had to learn the ropes of entrepreneurship to grow her business. She had to learn how to market her business, learn about pricing and the day-to- day running of the business.

This year she had a breakthrough when she had the opportunity to render her services to one of the high profile personalities in the province.

“This gave me the confidence that my work is appreciated and loved, it also motivated me to work harder and improve my skills,” she said.

Fiona gets pleasure from the interactions that she has with clients, and being part of their special moments. In two years, she wants to have her business growing, owning a house to conduct business and employing at least three people.

“I would like to operate from a more spacious place, providing internship and training programmess for youths in my community,” she said.

Fifim Garden of Beauty Spa is located in house number 2147, Zone 5 section G in Seshego. Visit her Facebook page on Fifim Garden of Beauty Spa.
