Essentials donated to learners in Elim

Marcia Mufamadi, a former learner at Tshimonelo Primary School, returned to donate uniforms, clothes and other essentials to the learners.

LIMPOPO – Learners at Tshimonelo Primary School in the Elim area were overjoyed on August 7 when a former learner returned to give back to her alma mater.

The generous donation included full school uniforms, body lotion, second-hand clothing, and other essentials.

Marcia Mufamadi of the Love Heals Foundation, is a successful former learner of the school who felt compelled to support the current learners.

“As a product of this school, I felt indebted and wanted to give back to the place that shaped my life,” Mufamadi said. “I understand the challenges here in the rural areas because I lived through them. Poverty is at its worst in these communities, and I felt it was my duty to do something for my brothers and sisters at this school.”

Mufamadi stressed the school’s role in her early years, describing it as a sanctuary and refuge during her childhood.

The principal, Nathaniel Thavhiwa, expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the donation.

“It is incredibly humbling to see our former learners succeeding in life and remembering where they came from. We have many learners here who come from very disadvantaged backgrounds and who cannot afford even the basics. We are deeply grateful for what Miss Mufamadi and the Love Heals Foundation have done for our school.”
