Limpopo-Africa Ubuntu Bikers Breakfast Run celebrates unity

The ninth annual Ubuntu Bikers Breakfast Run celebrates unity, diversity, and brotherhood with over 60 bikes and international participation.

POLOKWANE – The ninth annual Limpopo-Africa Ubuntu Bikers Breakfast Run brought together bikers from various clubs to celebrate a shared passion for riding and the ethos of Ubuntu: “I am because we are.”

Held at Noordelikes Pub and Grill on Sunday, the event has become a cornerstone of the biking fraternity calendar.

This year’s event showcased over 60 motorbikes in a mass ride, creating a spectacle of unity and camaraderie on the roads. With participation spanning nine South African provinces and 10 international countries, including Egypt, Morocco, and Nigeria, the Ubuntu Bikers Breakfast Run has grown into a global celebration of humanity and brotherhood.

Organiser and LBC board member Wilma Prinsloo highlighted the event’s core principles: loyalty, honour, and respect. “The Ubuntu Run is a platform to celebrate diversity, condemn discrimination, and promote peace, love, and humanity. It’s a testament to the power of unity,” she said.

The event welcomed riders from various clubs, councils, federations and independent enthusiasts. Prinsloo expressed gratitude for the collaboration and support from stakeholders, government departments, and the motorcycle industry.

LBC board member Ronald Leach said the event’s message needs to be spread far and wide. “While the biking fraternity has grown significantly, there are still challenges to overcome. The Ubuntu Run is a platform to unite, evolve, and inspire change.”
