Upcoming Polokwane water outage

Polokwane residents should prepare for a 24 hour water outage due to essential upgrades by Lepelle Northern Water.

POLOKWANE – Polokwane residents and businesses are urged to prepare for a temporary water supply interruption as Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) undertakes essential infrastructure upgrades.

The scheduled shutdown forms part of the ongoing Olifantspoort and Ebenezer Refurbishment Project and is set to take place on Tuesday, February 18; it will last for 24 hours.

According to Municipal spokesperson, Thipa Selala, the interruption is necessary for critical installation work at the Ebenezer Pump Station.

Affected Areas:

All areas receiving water from the Ebenezer Scheme, including Segwashi, Boyne, Mentz, Mankweng, Polokwane City, and Seshego.

Residents are advised to use water sparingly, store sufficient water in advance, and stay informed through official municipal communication channels to mitigate the impact of the temporary disruption.

“For inquiries, customers can contact Lepelle Northern Water at 015 290 1834 or via email at information@lepelle.co.za. Additionally, we encourages residents to download and utilise the MyPolokwane Citizen App to report water and sanitation issues promptly,” says Selala.

For further assistance, the municipality has provided a dedicated Water and Sanitation Helpline at 015 290 2376 or WhatsApp 068 290 8736.
