Nzhelele learning centre empowers learners

Tswime Learning Centre in Tshavhalovhedzi, founded by Vimbai Tawanda, provides academic support and mentorship to learners from Gr 4 to 12.

LIMPOPO – In the heart of Tshavhalovhedzi village in the Nzhelele area, the Tswime Learning Centre is a lifeline for learners seeking academic support.

Founded by Vimbai Tawanda, a dedicated teacher, the centre was born out of a desire to provide structured learning opportunities for students struggling academically or rewriting matric.

Tawanda said he recognised the need for after-school support and extra classes for learners from Gr 4 to Gr 12. With a vision to empower young minds, she established Tswime Learning Centre as a space where students receive individualised attention, mentorship and academic guidance in subjects such as mathematics, English, and physical sciences.

Understanding the risks of idleness, Tawanda ensures that learners remain engaged in productive activities, helping them build a strong foundation for their future.

Many learners who once struggled with their studies have seen remarkable improvements in their marks, while parents in Tshavhalovhedzi and surrounding areas praise the centre for shaping both their children’s academics and character.
