Limpopo woman launches book on children’s emotions
Limpopo author Gloria Dangale releases 'Mashudu's Magical Superpowers', a children's book teaching emotional resilience and self-awareness.
LIMPOPO – Dzimauli Tshwagwa resident Gloria Dangale has published her third book, ‘Mashudu’s Magical Superpowers’, a heartfelt story aimed at helping children aged five to nine understand and manage their emotions.
The book follows Mashudu, a young child who discovers inner ‘superpowers’ – like kindness, bravery, and empathy – to navigate life’s challenges. Through vivid storytelling, it encourages children to embrace their emotions while also serving as a valuable resource for parents, teachers, and guardians.
“What makes this book special is that it not only resonates with children but also educates adults on creating emotionally safe environments,” said Dangale.
She highlighted the stigma surrounding mental health in many communities and hopes her book will normalise conversations about emotional resilience, ensuring children feel seen, heard, and supported.
