Love through the eyes of Polokwane’s youth

From the pure and simple to the heartfelt and profound, the responses from these learners will melt your heart and remind you of the true meaning of love.

POLOKWANE – As the world celebrates Valentine’s Day, the Polokwane Review-Observer took to the streets of Polokwane to ask the city’s youngest residents what love means to them.

From the pure and simple to the heartfelt and profound, the responses from these learners will melt your heart and remind you of the true meaning of love.

Here’s what they had to say:

Zano Mabunda (Gr 11) from Veritas School: I would define love as loving one another equally as God created us in our own unique ways as His own children. I would also describe the word ‘love’ as the beauty of a person’s soul in the eyes of the other, regardless of its darkness.
Realeboga Kgaabi from Capricorn High School: Love is showing one another that you care and being there for them to support everything that they do. Celebrating their achievements.
Zizi Ngema from PEPPS: Love is patient, kind and does not boast nor dishonor others. It is not self-seeking, easily angered and does not keep records of wrong doings. Love does not delight in veil but rejoices with the truth and it always protects and trusts.
