PEPPS blood drive exceeds target
PEPPS' first blood drive of the year collected 67 units, surpassing the target of 47, with 25 new donors joining to help save lives.

POLOKWANE – PEPPS College’s first blood drive of the year was a great success, collecting 67 units of blood and surpassing the set target of 47. The event also welcomed 25 new donors, showing that learners are eager and willing to save lives.
Among the donors was Gr 12 learner Tlompho Tjia, who has been donating since Gr 10.
She said that while she isn’t a doctor and doesn’t have medical skills, donating blood is her way of making a difference.
Another dedicated donor, Thabang Seanego, also in Gr 12, has an O-negative blood type, which is in high demand. Initially donating as part of his community service, he now feels a deep responsibility to continue giving.
Blood drive coordinator Shade Idolor was excited over the number of new donors and the momentum for the year ahead.
She praised the peer promoters for their efforts in raising awareness and encouraging learners to take part.
