Prehistoric giants come to life at Meropa Casino

Dino World wowed visitors at Meropa Casino with life-size, roaring dinosaurs, interactive activities, and a thrilling prehistoric adventure.

POLOKWANE – Experts may say dinosaurs are extinct, but over the weekend, Dino World proved otherwise at Meropa Casino and Entertainment World. Life-size replicas of a T-Rex, Austrolitan, Triceratops, and more thrilled visitors as they moved their heads and tails while letting out lifelike roars.

For older generations who remember the film ‘Jurassic Park’, the experience brought back memories from 1993, while younger visitors were awed by the size of these prehistoric creatures.

Inside the dinosaur forest, guests encountered a T-Rex, Velociraptor, Dilophosaurus, Triceratops, and Nasutoceratops, with a Pteranodon and Dreadnoughtus waiting outside.

The event featured various activities, including a photo booth where children could sit inside a dinosaur egg or pose next to one.

Those eager to ride a dinosaur had the chance to climb onto the back of a young T-Rex and imagine themselves on an adventure through a prehistoric jungle.

Additional attractions included a reptile show, Dino Street Theatre, jungle gyms shaped like dinosaurs, jumping castles, colouring stations, and fossil digging—making it an unforgettable experience for all ages.

“This is a dream come true for me, even though I am 40 years old. I grew up loving dinosaurs, and now I get to experience them in real life while sharing the excitement with my children. I will definitely visit again when they return to Polokwane,” said visitor Emmanuel Mamabolo.
