Warm week ahead for Polokwane with possible midweek thunderstorms

It's best to keep an umbrella close by this week as thunderstorms are possible in Polokwane with warm temperatures expected.

POLOKWANE – Residents in Polokwane can expect a warm and mostly sunny week ahead, with temperatures peaking around 29°C before cooling down slightly later in the week.

Monday (March 24) and Tuesday (March 25) will bring partly sunny conditions with highs of 29°C and light winds.

The UV index remains very high, so sun protection is advised.

Wednesday (March 26) could see afternoon thunderstorms in some areas, though temperatures will remain warm at 29°C.

A slight cool-down arrives on Thursday (March 27), with a high of 24°C. Mostly cloudy skies and widely separated thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon.

From Friday (March 28) to Sunday (March 30), conditions will stabilise with decreasing clouds and comfortable temperatures between 26°C and 28°C.

A little chance of rain is expected too

Motorists should remain cautious on Wednesday and Thursday due to possible wet conditions.
