Polokwane pilates instructor promotes strength and wellness
Natasha Stapelberg promotes strength, flexibility, and wellness through accessible, adaptable classes for all ages and fitness levels.
POLOKWANE – Natasha Stapelberg has dedicated her career to helping others enhance their strength, flexibility, and overall health through pilates. With a full-time teaching career since 2013, Natasha has cultivated a loyal client base.
The Covid-19 pandemic brought significant challenges to the fitness industry, leading Natasha to step away from her own pilates studio.
In 2022, she transitioned to a new role at Era Properties, which allowed her to explore different career paths while continuing her passion for teaching pilates part-time.
She successfully balanced her role as a property agent with her love for fitness, maintaining a fulfilling connection to pilates.
Natasha’s passion for health began with studying food and nutrition, inspired by her desire to live a healthy lifestyle.
As she delved deeper into health and wellness, she realised that combining fitness with proper nutrition was key to overall well-being.
This led her to explore the fitness industry further and ultimately pursue pilates. Natasha enrolled in the Comprehensive Pilates course at Trifocus Fitness Academy, which gave her a solid foundation in the activity.
Pilates offers numerous benefits, both physically and mentally, making it accessible to people of all ages and fitness levels.
A key advantage is that it can be done with minimal equipment – mat pilates focuses on bodyweight exercises that enhance core strength, flexibility, and overall conditioning.
You don’t need fancy equipment to start; pilates can be practiced at home, in a park, or anywhere with enough space for a mat.
While private sessions may come with a higher cost, many gyms and community centres offer affordable group classes.
Pilates is adaptable for people of all ages, and exercises can be modified for each individual’s fitness level and health conditions.
It’s always best to consult with a healthcare provider or certified instructor before beginning a new exercise routine, especially for those with specific health concerns.
