Laerskool Ivy Park staff Suné Swart (acting deputy principal), Caroline Thema (founder of Caroline Thema Foundation and the school’s chairperson of the SGB), Portia Sekoadi (Caroline Thema Foundation administrator) and school deputy principal Annette Grobbelaar receive the school shoes and socks from the foundation.
POLOKWANE – Caroline Thema, the founder of the Caroline Thema Foundation, and the foundation’s administrator Portia Sekoadi, donated school shoes and socks to Laerskool Ivy Park last Friday.
Thema, who also serves as the chairperson of the School Governing Board at Ivy Park, wanted to give back to the school both as a parent and as the founder of the foundation.
“As someone who likes giving back to the community, I felt the need to donate not only school shoes but also socks to make it a complete package,” she said.
Acting principal Annette Grobbelaar and acting deputy principal Suné Swart received the donations on behalf of the school.
Grobbelaar expressed gratitude for the donation: “This reflects the amazing and generous hearts of Thema and her team. These shoes and socks will go a long way, and we are truly thankful for the continued support she provides to the school. There is much to be learned from her example.”
