Missing Polokwane learner last spotted in Tzaneen
The search for missing teen Nathan Denbi continues in Tzaneen after a confirmed sighting near the bus rank at the Cash & Carry gate on Thursday.
POLOKWANE – The search for 13-year-old Nathan Tedwodrus Denbi, who went missing from his home on Wednesday morning (April 9), has expanded to Tzaneen following a confirmed sighting.
According to the Limpopo police spokesperson, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, a missing person’s case was opened after Nathan’s disappearance was reported.
Initial reports suggested that Nathan may have been heading toward Makhado and Musina on foot.
This was later supported by information shared by the Tzaneen Community Policing Forum (CPF), who confirmed that Nathan was seen in the area yesterday.
Speaking to the Polokwane Review-Observer, Salome Loucąõ (Tzaneen CPF and Community In Blue member) said Nathan was spotted at the Cash & Carry Tzaneen gate at the bus rank before he was spotted roaming in town and that his parents positively identified him.

“We searched the area around the bus rank and other parts of Tzaneen last night, but did not locate him,” she said.
Loucąõ added that his parents remained in town and friends and family joined in the search.
The CPF also shared that Nathan’s parents believe he may be trying to reach Musina, where he reportedly has family, however, there has been no confirmed movement out of the Tzaneen area since the last sighting.

Nathan’s school also joined the search efforts by sharing his photo and details on their social media platforms to help raise awareness.
The acting principal said their thoughts and prayers are with the family and urged the school community to assist.
His photo has further been circulated on community forums, with a call to Tzaneen residents to report any sightings immediately.
