Style and art fashion show dazzles Thohoyandou
The second annual Style and Art Fashion Show lit up with local designers, vibrant collections, and a strong sense of community pride.
LIMPOPO – The second annual Style and Art Fashion Show turned heads at Khoroni Hotel in Thohoyandou last Saturday, where local pride took centre stage in a night to remember.
With eight designers unveiling their latest collections – four of whom are founding members of the Style and Art Group – the event celebrated the vibrancy and potential of the Vhembe district’s fashion scene.
A mix of emerging talent and established designers dazzled on the runway, while models and guests brought high energy and elegance to the stylish evening.
Co-founder of the event, Dakalo Ramusimu, said the vision behind Style and Art is to provide consistent and accessible platforms for designers from Thohoyandou and surrounding areas.
“We created this space because we couldn’t wait for someone else to do it for us. This is a fashion show by fashion designers, for the community,” he said.

He said the growth in diversity and attendance was a highlight.
“To see people from different backgrounds, of all ages and genders, come together under one roof made it truly special. Our goal is not just to display fashion, but to build a network of creatives, entrepreneurs, and collaborators.”

Despite the event’s huge success, the organisers have their sights set even higher.
“We’re proud of how far we’ve come, but we know there’s more to be done. We want to reach a wider audience, forge partnerships with local businesses, whether they’re start-ups or established brands, and elevate this platform even further.”
