Armed suspects rob business owner inside Polokwane bank

The Polokwane police have launched a manhunt for two suspects who robbed a business owner inside a Bendor bank on Saturday.

POLOKWANE – Details have emerged regarding yesterday’s bank robbery at Platinum Park, Bendor.

The Polokwane Police have since launched a manhunt for two armed suspects who committed an armed robbery at 11:00.

According to a police report, a victim entered the bank to deposit money from his business in Giyani when two male suspects, who were posing as customers, approached him.

“One of the suspects pulled out a firearm and they overpowered the victim, stealing a bag containing an undisclosed amount of money and a cellphone,” the Limpopo police spokesperson, Col Malesela Ledwaba’s statement stated.

The two suspects fled the scene in a silver Polo Vivo.

Ledwaba said an armed robbery case has been handed over to the Provincial Tracking Team for further investigation.

“Police are appealing to anyone with information that could assist in tracing the suspects to contact Colonel Nkele Mabotja at 082 585 4604, the Crime Stop number 08600 10111, or use the MySAPSApp,” he said.
