Young entrepreneur brings affordable travel to Limpopo
At 30, Hulisani Nebonde co-founded Nebs Travel and Tours, making affordable trips accessible while creating youth opportunities.
LIMPOPO – At just 30 years old, Hulisani Nebonde from Manamani Village is living his dream as the co-founder of Nebs Travel and Tours, a company that organises both short and long trips for those with a passion for exploring the world.
Nebonde’s journey started at Manamani Primary School before completing matric at Ndaedzo Secondary School in 2014. Determined to pursue his love for travel, he studied travel and tourism at Makwarela TVET College and went on to earn his N6 diploma at Thekwini City College in 2019.
“Travelling has always been my passion. It encouraged me to study travel and tourism so I could turn my dream into reality,” he said.
In 2020, Nebonde co-founded the company with a vision of making travel more accessible and affordable, particularly for people in rural communities. He explained that many in his area previously struggled to find travel agents due to financial barriers, but his company has managed to make trips possible at low cost.
Nebonde also hopes to create opportunities for local youth through job creation while inspiring others to dream bigger.
“I want to give back to the community by giving people opportunities and showing them the world through travel,” he said.
Looking ahead, Nebonde envisions expanding his company into a fleet of buses and establishing sister companies across the country. “In 10 years, I want to see my company flourishing, creating more jobs, and entertaining people through the joy of travel,” he concluded.
