Polokwane businessman TJ Malamule builds home for family of 7 in need
The TJ Malamule Foundation’s first project saw a needy family in Mokgoloboto receive the keys to their new home.
POLOKWANE – Businessman and philanthropist TJ Malamule from Polokwane recently built a house for a family in need, handing over a brand-new home to the Manzini family over the weekend.
The renowned business coach, author, and founder of various companies launched his non-profit, the TJ Malamule Foundation, by providing the family of seven with a home in Mokgoloboto on Saturday.
Malamule explained he was inspired by the family’s desperate need for shelter.
“I started school here at Letsie Primary School where I walked barefoot through farms and rivers. This is our first project as the TJ Malamule Foundation. I know what it’s like to be in need,” he said.
He recounted his own challenges growing up, moving between flats, and wearing his mother’s shoes to school, emphasising the importance of education and resilience.
“Education is very important. We need to encourage young people to study. There’s no excuse.
“Go to school,” he said.
Malamule also encouraged the youth to focus on books rather than destructive habits, quoting Michael Jordan: “Be selfish enough to get to the top, and when you are at the top, be unselfish and do things for other people.”
During the handover, tears of joy rolled down the Manzini family’s faces as they received the keys to their brand-new house, now ready to become a home.
