Rachel Kutumela’s brother nabbed in insurance murder probe

The R10m insurance murder case involving Rachel Kutumela has deepened with the arrest of a fourth family member, her brother.

POLOKWANE – Police have arrested a fourth suspect in connection with the R10m insurance murder, fraud, and money laundering case involving former police officer Rachel Kutumela and her family.

The latest arrest took place this morning (November 4), when a 54-year-old man, who is the brother of the accused, was apprehended in Molejie, outside Seshego.

The Limpopo police spokesperson Col Malesela Ledwaba said the suspect is facing charges of murder, fraud, and money laundering and is expected to appear before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court tomorrow morning (November 5).

This development follows the arrest of the three main accused: former police sergeant Rachel Kutumela (43), her sister Anna Shokane (47), and daughter Florah Shokane (23) — who remain in custody after being denied bail.
