Temporary road closures to affect parts of Polokwane

Parts of Polokwane's Grobler and General Joubert streets will close from November 10 to December 17 for infrastructure works.

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality has advised residents and motorists of temporary road closures to allow for essential infrastructure improvements in the city.

According to municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala, sections of Grobler Street and General Joubert Street will be closed from November 10 until December 17.

A portion of Grobler Street, beginning just after the Church Street intersection towards Market Street, will be closed, reopening before the Market Street intersection.

In addition, General Joubert Street will be fully closed after the Jorrisson Street intersection.

Motorists will be redirected via Jorrisson Street and Bodenstein Street, and signage will be in place to guide both drivers through the affected areas.

Residents are advised to allow extra travel time during the closure period and to make use of the indicated alternative routes.
