Business group helps Precious Masekoameng (9) get to school

Matebele Corporates is raising funds to buy a wheelchair for nine-year-old Precious Masekoameng from Sebayeng to help her start school next year.

POLOKWANE – Matabele Corporates, a business empowerment organisation dedicated to helping aspiring entrepreneurs develop sustainable ventures, has turned its attention to a cause close to the heart of founder Khutso Masekwameng – the urgent need to assist nine-year-old Precious Masekoameng from Sebayeng village.

Precious, who dreams of going to school, is unable to walk and urgently needs a wheelchair to improve her mobility and quality of life.

Masekwameng has issued a heartfelt appeal to the public to help raise money to purchase a wheelchair, or to donate one directly.

Brave 9-year-old Precious Masekoameng from Sebayeng village needs help from the community.

“Precious is a brave child whose daily struggle is something no child should experience. When my team and I visited her home, we also discovered that she does not have a school uniform. This is heartbreaking. Let’s help her with donations so that she can begin her school journey with confidence next year. A little will go a long way,” said Masekwameng.

He added that community support can restore Precious’ sense of hope.

Matebele Corporates with a slogan; ‘growing communities, serving you’, aims to secure both the wheelchair and uniform by December 1, ensuring she can start school with pride and the necessary support.

“As a caring community, we can come together to make a difference in her life. Our goal is to make Precious’ dream of going to school a beautiful reality,” he concluded.

Anyone who would like to donate or assist can kindly contact Khutso at 078 003 4097.

My name is Anne Mametja. I am a mom of four and an identical twin. With a passion for media, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Media and Television Production in 2012 and due to my love for children, I also hold a certificate in Nursing Auxiliary. As media is my first love, I started working at the Polokwane Review as a journalist in 2017 and it has been amazing thus far. I love journalism because I can be a voice to the community through my work. Journalism allows me to meet different people at the events I attend. Although there are certain beats that journalists stick to, being an all-rounder means I write community, schools, sports, hard, lifestyle and entertainment news. It also allows me to be versatile in the newsroom and assist where I can. ‘Journalism can never be silent, that is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault.’
