LIMPOPO – A luxurious massage can leave one looking and feeling younger, with radiant, glowing skin according to Adivhaho Mudau, the owner of Adelaide Wellness Spa in Thohoyandou Unit E.

Mudau said she always knew she had a passion for business, but it was her mother who first encouraged her to study massage therapy.

“I went to study massage, and I fell in love with it on the very first day. When I was growing up, my grandmother would always call me to massage her. This would always relax her. In our family, if she called me and mentioned her back, everyone knew it was time for a massage.”

Her business journey, however, has not been without obstacles. Like many entrepreneurs, she had to restart her business several times and relocate her operations on four occasions.

“All I can say is that it has been a life-changing journey. I can make my own money, control my own time and make decisions that will grow and expand the business. I now have a much bigger space that allows me to accommodate more clients per hour. I’ve also expanded my services to include food, drinks, snacks and photography.”

Speaking to CV, Mudau said her long-term goal is to open multiple branches across South Africa and explore collaborations in the wellness industry.

“My work is to take care of people’s bodies, and I don’t do it only for the money, I genuinely care about my clients’ health,” she said.

“Being able to open a business, run it for five years without giving up, and reach a point where operations can run even when I’m not physically present is my biggest achievement,” she concluded.
