Polokwane weather: Stormy, humid week ahead

POLOKWANE – Residents should prepare for a week of warm, humid conditions punctuated by frequent thunderstorms. Temperatures will peak mid-week before settling into a slightly cooler, unsettled pattern for the weekend.

Monday will see a high of 24°C under cloudy skies. Be prepared for a thunderstorm in parts of the area.

Temperatures will climb significantly as the week progresses, as Tuesday will reach 28°C, with a morning thunderstorm giving way to clouds and sunny breaks.

Wednesday is expected to be the hottest day of the week, hitting 30°C, with a mix of sunshine and clouds before a couple of afternoon thunderstorms develop.

A slight reprieve from the heat arrives on Thursday, with the high dipping to 26°C. However, conditions will remain mostly cloudy with a continued chance of thunderstorms.

The weekend continues with warm and unsettled weather as Friday sees a high of 28°C with intervals of clouds and sunshine. A couple of showers and a thunderstorm are likely, mainly later in the day.

On Saturday the temperature will be a pleasant 27°C. A morning thunderstorm is in the forecast, followed by considerable cloudiness for the remainder of the day.

Sunday ends off the week with a cooler high of 25°C. It will be a cloudy day with a thunderstorm expected in parts of the area.
