MEPS in top 10 of circuit schools

MEPS principal Sandy Pitsi expressed pride in the Class of 2025, whose 93.1% pass rate kept the school in the Pietersburg Circuit's top 10.

POLOKWANE – MEPS principal Sandy Pitsi has expressed pride in the Class of 2025 for helping the school remain among those schools achieving over a 90% pass rate, while also securing a place in the top 10 schools in the Pietersburg Circuit with a performance of 93.1%.

Out of 29 candidates, 27 met and exceeded the minimum requirements. “This does not reach the 100% target we set for ourselves each year, nor is it exactly what we envisaged, but it is a fair result and we are proud of our learners.

We are grateful for the meaningful contributions made by our teachers, directors, administrative and support staff, fellow learners and all stakeholders who helped make this journey smoother.

Their support empowered the Class of 2025 to enter the examinations with confidence,” said Pitsi.

She again congratulated the learners on their achievement and looked ahead to the new academic year with optimism.

“This year we go out and do it again. Let us aim for 100% understanding of concepts and 100% performance in every task, for every learner in every grade. We can do it,” she said.

Anne Mametja

My name is Anne Mametja. I am a mom of four and an identical twin. With a passion for media, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Media and Television Production in 2012 and due to my love for children, I also hold a certificate in Nursing Auxiliary. As media is my first love, I started working at the Polokwane Review as a journalist in 2017 and it has been amazing thus far. I love journalism because I can be a voice to the community through my work. Journalism allows me to meet different people at the events I attend. Although there are certain beats that journalists stick to, being an all-rounder means I write community, schools, sports, hard, lifestyle and entertainment news. It also allows me to be versatile in the newsroom and assist where I can. ‘Journalism can never be silent, that is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault.’
