Taxila celebrates Class of 2025 achievers

Taxila Secondary School celebrated its Class of 2025 for a 98.7% pass rate and second place in the circuit.

POLOKWANE – Taxila Secondary School celebrated its Class of 2025 for ending second in the top 10 in the Pietersburg Circuit schools, with 216 learners passing with bachelor degree passes, 53 learners with diploma and only 59 certificate passes.

“I’m so proud of our learners, with the good results of 98.7% pass rate that they have achieved, it’s indeed not a small matter for the school, however we still want to get a 100% pass rate this year. That’s our aim this year and I’m quite confident that we’ll achieve that with the Class of 2026,” principal Tlou Ramara said.

He added that he wishes the Class of 2025 all the best with their studies and for their future.

Achievers included Manaka Kamogelo, Matsane Keamogetswe and Letsoalo Tlotliso who received trophies for obtaining level seven marks in all their subjects (80%-100%).

“We thank all the parents for the support throughout the last year, and for also coming to celebrate and dance with your children during their matric result collection at school. To the Class of 2025, the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. Good luck going forward.”

Anne Mametja

My name is Anne Mametja. I am a mom of four and an identical twin. With a passion for media, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Media and Television Production in 2012 and due to my love for children, I also hold a certificate in Nursing Auxiliary. As media is my first love, I started working at the Polokwane Review as a journalist in 2017 and it has been amazing thus far. I love journalism because I can be a voice to the community through my work. Journalism allows me to meet different people at the events I attend. Although there are certain beats that journalists stick to, being an all-rounder means I write community, schools, sports, hard, lifestyle and entertainment news. It also allows me to be versatile in the newsroom and assist where I can. ‘Journalism can never be silent, that is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault.’
