Ivydale murder investigation sees 10 arrests
Westenburg police have arrested 10 suspects aged 30 to 63 after a body was discovered buried in a shallow grave at a plot in Ivydale.
POLOKWANE – Police in Westenburg have arrested 10 suspects aged between 30 and 63 in connection with a murder at a plot in Ivydale, within the Capricorn District.
Authorities acted after receiving information about the incident.
Upon visiting the scene, police discovered the body of an unknown person buried in a shallow grave near the property.
It is alleged that the victim was assaulted on the property on March 1 and later dragged to a nearby bush area where the body was buried.
Following further investigations, the 10 suspects were apprehended and are expected to appear at the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court soon, facing charges of murder and defeating the ends of justice.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been established, and police investigations are ongoing.
