Polokwane in for a warm week with a chance of thunder

Warm days are ahead in Polokwane with occasional showers and thunderstorms before sunnier skies arrive this weekend.

POLOKWANE – According to Accuweather, Polokwane residents can expect a warm week, with daytime temperatures mostly holding steady in the upper 20s. While there will be periods of sunshine, several days could bring scattered showers and thunderstorms, particularly during the mornings or afternoons.

Monday brings in the new the week with mostly cloudy skies and a thunderstorm possible in the morning. Despite the cloud cover, it will remain warm with temperatures reaching around 26°C, before dropping to about 16°C overnight.

On Tuesday, conditions remain mainly cloudy, with afternoon showers expected in some areas. Temperatures will climb to around 28°C during the day, with a low of 17°C later in the evening.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, residents can expect a mix of clouds and sunshine, although isolated thunderstorms may develop in one or two areas. Temperatures will reach around 27°C, with overnight lows near 17°C.

Thursday should see partly sunny conditions, but isolated thunderstorms remain possible. The temperature will again reach around 28°C, while evening temperatures dip to about 17°C.

Cloud cover increases toward the end of the work week, with scattered thunderstorms possible during Friday morning and afternoon. Daytime temperatures will remain steady at around 28°C, with a low of 17°C.

Saturday may begin with a morning thundershower, followed by variable cloudiness later in the day. Temperatures will once again peak at around 28°C, with nighttime temperatures near 17°C.

Weather conditions are expected to improve by Sunday, bringing partly sunny skies and drier conditions. The temperature will reach about 28°C, while the evening will be slightly cooler with a low of around 14°C.

Overall, the week ahead will remain consistently warm, with a mix of sunshine, clouds and occasional thunderstorms before clearer conditions settle in toward the end of the weekend.
