Seshego community demands justice for Mpho

Seshego community rallies against GBV as accused boyfriend appears in court for the murder of Mpho Johanna Lefakgomo on Human Rights Day.

POLOKWANE – The Seshego community is reeling after the tragic murder of Mpho Johanna Lefakgomo, who was allegedly killed by her boyfriend, Comfort Bafanas Mangalo, on Human Rights Day (March 21).

The community is calling for justice and advocating for no bail for the accused, who is set to appear in the Seshego Magistrate Court today (April 1).

Local organisations and leaders are rallying behind Lefakgomo’s family, with social media posters circulating to encourage community members to attend the court hearing in solidarity.

The movement aims to not only seek justice for Lefakgomo, but also to raise awareness and support for ending gender-based violence (GBV) and femicide.

Community members in solidarity with Mpho’s family are sending a strong message that the accused should be denied bail.

The community’s outrage is palpable, and their demands for justice are clear. As the case unfolds, the community will be watching closely to ensure that Lefakgomo’s family gets the justice they deserve.
