From loss to leadership in Limpopo: Mashala’s rise
Limpopo entrepreneur Chuene Mashala turns hardship into success, uplifting communities and inspiring women to take control of their future.
LIMPOPO – After losing both her parents, Chuene Rosina Mashala made a life-changing decision to stand on her own and take responsibility for her future.
With no children of her own, she became the guardian and provider for her siblings, taking on the responsibility of holding her family together during difficult times.
“I did not have the luxury of giving up. My family needed me, and that became my greatest motivation,” she said.
Stepping up for family and finding purpose
In 2012, Mashala joined Table Charm Direct in search of stability and a reliable income.
Her determination saw her rise through the ranks, becoming a manager in 2013 and later a distributor in 2020.
Today, she leads a growing team across Limpopo.
Shaping leaders and empowering women
She describes her journey as more than just business success, but part of a broader movement focused on financial discipline, digital empowerment and uplifting communities, particularly women.
“This programme has changed my life in ways I never imagined. It pushes me and my team to be our best.
“We work for rewards, but most importantly, we work to run healthy businesses on cash, not credit,” she said.
Despite coming from a rural village, Mashala has built herself into a disciplined and financially stable entrepreneur.
She believes her work is helping shape future leaders and strengthen communities.
“I am not just running a business, I am shaping a generation.
“I see leaders rising from my team and women walking with purpose and financial freedom,” she said.
A message of strength and self-belief
Mashala encouraged other women to take control of their future.
“You are stronger than you think. Your circumstances do not define your destiny. Choose yourself. Together, we rise,” she said.
