Polokwane police probe double death in Sunset Boulevard
Police in Polokwane are investigating a double death in Sunset Boulevard where a woman was stabbed and a man found hanging.
POLOKWANE – Police in Polokwane are investigating a murder and inquest following a fatal incident in Sunset Boulevard estate on Tuesday, April 28.
They have confirmed the identity of the two deceased residents as Evah Manabalala (37) and Ernest Fakude (34).
According to police, officers and emergency medical services responded to a call at about 08:30 after a neighbour reported hearing screams and a disturbance at a nearby property.
On arrival, authorities discovered the bodies of a 37-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man. Both were declared dead at the scene by medical personnel.
Police said the woman was found in the driveway with multiple stab wounds to her upper body. The man was found hanging outside the house.
A weapon believed to have been used in the incident was recovered at the scene.
The motive for the incident is not yet known, but police have not ruled out a domestic-related dispute.
Investigations are ongoing.
