Driver killed, 11 injured as bus overturns near Beitbridge
A bus carrying people to the Beitbridge Repatriation Camp overturned on the N1, killing the driver and injuring eleven passengers.
LIMPOPO – A bus transporting individuals from KwaZulu-Natal to the Repatriation Camp in Beitbridge overturned on the N1, approximately four kilometres south of the Beitbridge Border Post, early this morning (Wednesday, July 1).
According to preliminary reports, the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle due to fatigue, causing the bus to overturn.

Driver dead, 11 injured
The driver has been confirmed deceased, while eleven passengers sustained injuries. The injured were transported to Musina Hospital for medical treatment.
Emergency services, law enforcement agencies and traffic officials are on the scene managing the incident and providing the necessary assistance.

Road remains open, but delays expected
The road remains open to traffic at this stage. However, motorists are advised that temporary closures may be implemented to allow forensic investigators to conduct their work safely. Delays should therefore be expected.
Motorists travelling along the route are urged to exercise extreme caution, reduce speed, maintain a safe following distance, and comply with the instructions of traffic officials on the scene.
