AARTO roadshow to visit 3 Limpopo districts this week

Limpopo motorists can check their AARTO infringement status and pay fines with a 50% discount at roadshows in Mogalakwena, Tzaneen and Polokwane.

LIMPOPO – Limpopo motorists will have the opportunity to check their AARTO infringement status and get assistance with resolving traffic infringements during a three-day public awareness campaign this week.

The Road Traffic Infringement Authority (RTIA), together with the South African Post Office (SAPO) and the Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety, will take its AARTO roadshow to Mogalakwena, Tzaneen and Polokwane from August 19 to 21.

What motorists can do

Motorists will be able to check whether they have outstanding AARTO infringements and receive information about the options available to resolve them. These include:

  • Paying a traffic fine within 32 days to receive a 50% discount
  • Submitting a representation
  • Paying the amount in instalments
  • Nominating the driver who was in control of the vehicle
  • Applying for the revocation of an enforcement order

Where and when

The campaign will begin in the Waterberg District on Wednesday, with a roadside check at the N1 Nyl Plaza from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by an activation at the Pick n Pay taxi rank from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

On Thursday the roadshow moves to the Mopani District, where roadside checks will take place on the R36 next to SASKO and on the R71 at Riverside between 7:00 AM and 9:30 AM. An activation will then be held at the Pick n Pay Long Distance Taxi Rank from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

The final day, Friday, will be in Polokwane, with an activation at the Pick n Pay Taxi Rank from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM and a roadside check along the R71 towards Mankweng from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
