Emergency water repairs to affect parts of Polokwane

Emergency repairs on the Dap Naudé water supply line will affect water supply in parts of Polokwane today. Use water sparingly.

POLOKWANE – Polokwane Municipality has announced emergency repairs to the Dap Naudé water supply line, which will affect water supply in parts of the city today (Wednesday, September 2).

Repairs underway

To enable the repair team to safely attend to a pipe leak on the Dap Naudé line, pumps on the dam line will be switched off from 8:00AM.

The repair work is expected to take approximately seven hours, depending on the extent of the damage and prevailing conditions on site.

What to expect

The shutdown will affect the transfer of water to the Dalmada Water Treatment Plant, which may subsequently result in reduced water pressure and interruptions to water supply in parts of the city.
