Setati Tigers FC hosted a Top Eight soccer tournament in Moletjie Ga-Setati

Setati Tigers FC hosted a Top Eight soccer tournament in Moletjie Ga-Setati over the weekend.

Eight amateur teams from Moletjie competed for the R4 000 in prizes.

Teams affiliated with R450 to be part of the tournament, with the winner receiving R2 500 and R1 500 for the second placed.

Setati Calis FC faced Cameroon FC in the semi-finals, where Calis won 1-0.

Chokoe Hungry Lion FC proceeded to the finals after winning 2-1 against Setati Tigers FC.

Setati Calis and Chokoe Hungry Lion drew 0-0 and shared the prize money.

Raul Moloto, the tournament sponsor said he was pleased to see that people still valued sport. “Villagers came out in numbers to support the tournament and teams played wonderful soccer without anyone trying to cause trouble. Young people still have love and passion for soccer and I would like to call upon professional scouts to consider rural areas when looking for new talent,” he said.
