Silicon Smelters also hosted another charity event, the annual 4×4 charity event, which was held in July.
An amount of R90 000 was raised, which, when added to the golf funds, will make a total R249 000.
Jan Aucamp, the manager at Silicon Smelters and organiser of these charity events said R74 000 was handed-over to Round Table 22 last Friday, while R175 000 will be donated in November after Silicon had collected proposals from charities.
He said Round Table donated R40 000 to Akademie Reformia’s Arende-class.
