Leopards on look out for new players

BLACK Leopards lost 1-0 against Black Burn Rovers during a National First Division match

BLACK Leopards lost 1-0 against Black Burn Rovers during a National First Division match, which was played at the Seshego Stadium on Saturday.

It was Rovers’ second win of the season, winning 1-0 against Sivutsa Stars last month.

Rovers move up to ninth place with seven points

Leopards are still without a win after six games and are currently on four points and in 14th place on the log.

The Leopards head coach, Kostadin Papic told CV it would be difficult to return to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) with the players they have now.

Papic said he wanted to sign reliable strikers and midfielders to take the team back to the PSL, but management was still mum on this. He said most of the players were inexperienced and came from nowhere.

“I don’t have time for this. We need to go back to the PSL, but with these players, it will be difficult. We were supposed to collect maximum points at home. We played six games, where we drew four and lost two,” Papic said.

“We have played to a 1-1 draw against Roses United FC in Bloemfontein, a 2-2 draw against Baroka FC, a 0-0 draw against Witbank Spurs, lost 2-1 to African Warriors, played to a 0-0 draw against Santos and now lost against Rovers. We are going to play against Vasco Da Gama at Parov Park on Saturday and against Thanda Royal Zulu in Polokwane on November 2.”
