Steenkamp victor in local golf contest
Actus Insurance Brokers held a golf match at the Polokwane Golf Club last Thursday, which saw Leon Steenkamp walk away with a victory in this individual format contest.
POLOKWANE – Actus Insurance Brokers held a golf match at the Polokwane Golf Club last Thursday, which saw Leon Steenkamp walk away with a victory in this individual format contest.
He won the match with a tally of 43 points.
Second place on 41 points was Jan de Beer and third place on 38 points on a count-out went to Francois Goosen.
Danie Bouwer came in fourth place on 38 points and in fifth place on 37 points on a count-out was Llewellyn Prenzler.
Pieter du Toit was in sixth place on 37 points. The prize for the longest drive for the 12th hole for golfers with a handicap of naught to nine was awarded to Jannie Bronkhorst. Cobus van der Lith was the winner of the prize for the golfer who with the longest drive for the seventh hole for golfers with a handicap of 10 and more.
Jan de Beer won the prize for the golfer nearest to the pin for the eighth hole for golfers with a handicap of naught to nine.
The winner of the prize for nearest to the pin for the 11th hole for the golfer with a handicap of 10 and more was Tossie van der Merwe.
