MTN SA Foundation will host their annual Sekhukhune Golf Day and a regional stakeholder gala dinner at Groblersdal Golf Course to unveil their new strategy for Limpopo this Friday.
Limpopo’s premier, Stanley Mathabatha, and Sekhukhune mayor, David Magabe, will attend the dinner, which is hosted in partnership with the Sekhukhune District Municipality.
“We are pleased that the premier and mayor will be attending the dinner. This is important to us, because our strategic partners in various tiers of government have played a major role in both the effective implementation of our programmes and ensuring their sustainability,” explains MTN SA Foundation manager, Kusile Mtunzi-Hairwadzi.
The golf day is aimed at raising funds for poor communities in the Sekhukhune district. The objective of the dinner is to share with stakeholders and partners in government the foundation’s investment in the Sekhukhune region since 2009.
“We look forward to engaging with our guests, especially beneficiaries and partners, when we unveil our new strategy for the province,” says Mtunzi-Hairwadzi.
According to Mtunzi-Hairwadzi, the foundation has been providing support to the Makhuduthamaga Municipality in the Sekhukhune district and has deepened its strategic partnership with this municipality.
“As the corporate social investment arm of a leading telecommunications group, the foundation will continue to provide support to Sekhukhune District Municipality in order to create sustainable communities.”
