Evenly matched game excites

DESPITE the teams being evenly matched in the game between Bernett United FC and Seshego Kings FC at Masedibu Sports Ground on Sunday, the match still drew a large crowd.

The two teams started the match on a positive note, with United leading 2-1 in the first half.

Kings striker, Doctor Mahlaloga, equalised in the second half with a penalty.

In the 75th minute, United strikers created an opportunity and scored a third goal.

Mahlatse Sekele equalised for Kings in the 85th minute.

United head coach, Slight Mabotja, said: “If you look at the game, you will realise that some of the goals that Kings scored were not actually goals that they worked for.

“They capitalised on our mistakes,” he said.

The Kings’ coach, Macjoe Nong, said the game was tough. “We missed chances to score goals. I hope we will improve in our next match. I was delighted to see Thabiso “Inesta” Notsweni creating chances, but unfortunately the other players did not use these chances,” he said.

“My players did well. We pressurised the game and manage to equalise in the end,” he explained.
