Leopards’ confidence

THE Black Leopards head coach, Kostadin Papic, says the players are set to collect maximum points when they host defending Kaizer Chiefs in their final 32 game of the Nedbank Cup at the Peter Mokaba Sports Complex on Saturday.

Lidoda Duvha, who are oozing with confidence following their recent 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers, will be out to avenge the 4-0 loss they suffered at the hands of Amakhosi in the same stage of the same competition last season.

Papic says the players do not need any motivation to play well against Chiefs.

“We are the underdogs and are playing one of the giants of South African football.

“Players do not need any more encouragement, because playing against a big club like Chiefs is an encouragement on its own,” says Papic.

Leopards now occupy a third spot on the National First Division log, just a point adrift of joint leaders, Baroka FC and Chippa United.

Papic says they are going to approach the match against Chiefs like it is the last match of the season.

“We are going to play this match like it is our last game of the season.

“We are playing at home but we will play in front of many Chiefs fans which brings another challenge, but we will do our best and show character.”
