Baroka FC ready for Cosmos encounter

AFTER registering back-to-back wins with a 2-0 score line against African Warriors and Roses United, seasoned National First Division and former Premier Soccer League (PSL) club Jomo Cosmos are tipped to be a hurdle in Baroka FC’s path to the top.

Jomo Cosmos and Baroka will face off at the Makhulong Stadium in a league match scheduled to kick-off at 18:00 on Saturday, March 1.

With three successive home wins, Baroka will be put to the test by Jomo Cosmos.

The Sello Chokoe-coached boys’ last away match was a short trip to Venda, where they played to a 2-2 draw with rivals Black Leopards.

Now at position three on the log with 36 point off 21 matches, Bakgaga have sighted the “promised land” with just four points separating them from log leaders, Chippa United.

This Ga-Mphahlele-based club will come out with guns blazing against Ezenkosi, who have found new form of late. Coached by the legendary Jomo Sono, Ezenkosi are just few paces away from the summit of the log. They are lying in position seven with 29 points earned out of 21 matches. They are seven points behind Baroka and are trailing leaders Chippa United with 10 points.

However, with 27 points still to play for, Cosmos are still in with a chance to gain automatic promotion to the PSL.
